Picked On

Sunday, September 26th, 2004

Have you ever had something that everyone keeps pointing out as “something to work on” or “I just thought you’d want to know”? I just feel picked on. It’s like when you are getting ready to do something nice for someone and then they tell you to go do it. It just ruins everything. Just in case anyone of you are those people, I know and I’m working on it. Thanks.

Piercings

Saturday, September 18th, 2004

When I was younger I couldn’t wait to get my ears pierced. But , my dad in his conservative viewpoint, made my sisters wait until they were 16 to have their ears done. I am the 7th of 7 kids, so by the time I was 13 my dad had relaxed a bit and was a bit tired, I think, of fighting it. So, he gave in. Well, now I have double ear piercings and a nose piercing. I have been trying to talk my daighter in to getting her ears done but she has been scared. Well, finally at the ripe old age of 6 she decided she was ready. It was so fun! She was excited and giddy. Then she cried. The girl did a great job and Emma didn’t even realize when she did the second one.
Well, off to buy a new oven. I hate coooking , but realize even now that it is broken how much I use my oven.
Happy Saturday!

Call a spade a spade…so to speak.

I am really getting tired of specific types of “sin” getting singled out and books written touting that people engaged in these activities have an “agenda”. Do the liars have an agenda, or the fornicators or the gluttons? Can people who carry the name ‘christian’ please stop pointing out and enlarging peoples brokenness as an agenda. It is nothing more than brokenness. Everyone, last time I checked was part of the “original sin” plan. Maybe I am over simplifying this, but it is really driving me nuts. Who is buying this crap? Ok, venting done.

Brass Monkey

Sunday, September 5th, 2004

Ok all you 80’s fans…I had a blast from the past yesterday as I was driving. The cheesy station that I like played “Brass Monkey” by the Beastie Boys. I learned something as I listened to it blaring…(the kids were not with me). I think that I never listed to the lyrics of songs when I was in high school. Or maybe I had too much Brass Monkey…cuz I never knew thery were talking about a drink. Did you? Or am I the only one who was in a daze? That is my pointless musing for today. Oh, and remember my previous post about painting? Well, I lied. I’m now working on my bathroom. OI!
