Well, we have an ‘old’ president, and not one I voted for, I will admit. Now before all you guys start in on your “what about partial-birth abortion” and “gay-marriage”…I will admit I am not the most eloquent on the topic, but I do know when people are just swallowing the stuff they want to hear and turning a blind eye to the rest. Never do you hear about anything fresh. I am continually talking with people who are Bush supporters and pretty much all he stands for, but what I mostly hear is canned, good-ole boy responses. It never sounds like anyone has actually thought through the issues on their own and come to these conclusions. It only seems like that it was what their fathers said, and their fathers before them, etc.I have always been a big republican supporter until this year when I decided to find out for myself. Read and listen and even open my heart a little to those I previously called “left-wing”. All I would hope for is that some of these people don’t just jump in the boat because that is what it seems like the right thing to do, or what most “christians” are doing, but to test the boat out, look at how it has floated (or not) in the past, ask the captain some hard questions. And, in the end, God will place in power who he wants…and who knows Hillary my step into the drivers seat 2008. Oooo, I can already feel you squirm!
