Well, I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this. I guess I want to wait to see what happens, but here’s the latest on Christian’s puking. We got another appointment with the GI doctor to discuss the lack of progress in treating Christian and his “problem”. We had just increased his medication and promptly he began to puke again. So, we mentioned to the doctor for the second time some issues we had seen relating to Christian having to pee. At this point the doctor suggested an abdominal ultrasound. So we had the ultrasound and I noticed as the lady was doing it she made a weird face. So about an hour after we got home the Docotr calls and says the test was positive for a condition called hydronephrosis, which is a blockage of the outflow of the kidney causing backup in the system, and breakdown of the kidney. We go to a urologist next thursday to see what form of treatment he will have. This is very exciting because many cases of this so called “stomach migraine” have been traced to this kidney problem and totally treated with surgery! We can’t wait to hear what’s next. After 8 years of this crap, the end may be in sight! Stay tuned for Part III…
