This living with extended family has turned out to be way more than I prepared for. It is a huge challenge that I don’t feel equipped for. The day to day is not so tough. The elder care is the hard part. When did I sign up for this? Somebody must have slipped somethig in my corn flakes and put a pen in my hand. Now, I just feel trapped and helpless. Man, I really don;t sound like myself. I need to go get on my knees and listen! Have a great day everyone out there in blog land.

We’re praying for your situation. Patience is the best when it comes to the elderly. I do understand that one only so much patience though!

Thanks Sara! I wish it was as easy as patience. It is emotionally and physically draining as well.

Hey, it’s Kat. If you believe you are where you are for a purpose… God’s purpose… and remind yourself that it’s not forever… eventually you will find yourself not feeling so cheated or exhausted all the time. It takes time but God will grant you the energy needed to fulfill this time in your life. I dunno… it worked for me, I will pray you will feel some comfort soon my sweet friend. Love you!
