So, here is the next installment in “Tales of a Blocked Kidney.
Ok, I got a call from the doctor today…who I love. Did I mention that? Anyway, he said he had met with a bunch of doctors from the west coast area and presented Christian’s case. Yes, my son’s ureter is a celebrity. The are not convinced that he should do the surgery just yet. They recommended that we take out the stent, clamp the tube from his kidney and give it a little time to make sure that what is left in there is really cause for blockage still. So, instead of the major surgery on Monday we will be doing a stent removal and then the wait. I guess this is good, in the sense that he may not have to undergo surgery at all, at this point. But it still feels like we are prolonging the inevitable. God is still on the throne…as my dad always used to say. He’ll handle it.
