Where’s the beef?
Where’s the beef?
We were in LA today. We have gone to this particular area several times in the last seven months. I can never find any fast food places to eat. (Yes, it’s Beverly Hills) So, this time we had to get gas on our way out. I decided to ask the girl at the cash register if she knew if there were any restaurants nearby. She looked at me quite confused and said “no”. I paused and said “No, there aren’t any or no, you don’t know?” She said, “Uh, maybe on Sunset.” Ok, if you have ever been on Sunset, you know that is a ridiculous answer. I just looked at her and said, “Gee, thanks.” I suppose she could have just started working there, I doubt it. Maybe she lives a distance from the gas station, probably, but still. I just don’t understand not knowing your surroundings. I mean, where does she eat lunch? I guess snooty Beverly Hillsians and Bel Air-ites don’t patronize fast food places, so there are none. Whatever. I just went to the same Westlake Carl’s Jr as always. We had to drive 45 minutes, but we all survived.

When I worked at Cedars, that was the one thing that was so annoying-no fast food restaurants nearby! I couldn’t believe it either. My friend Angie and I had to drive up to Sunset to eat at Wendy’s. It took ALL of our lunch hour to drive the 5 miles and get back in time to work. Even though it is Bev Hills, this is still America, and every American knows that Fast food should be within reach AT ALL TIMES!!!

Isn’t Cedar’s more West Hollywoodish? True it’s been a while for me but those are my old stomping grounds. It seems like if you go just a little South (?) like towards the Beverly Center you begin to find the fast food places. I could be wrong.

Cedars is across the street from Beverly Center.
There is a nice food court inside there. You probably know that already though, Martha. Looking for something that is convenient is hard to come by in Bev Hills.

there’s plenty of stuff on la cienega closer to the 10, including a carl’s jr. and a mcdonalds, but everyone knows quiznos is the official fast food of beverly hills. there are like four.

Unfortunately going to the 10 on La Cienega is out of the way of going back to Vta. We always take Sunset up to the 405 and it is much faster. I’m sure if I wanted to drive around awhile I could find something. But, good news is we don’t have to go back for 4 months! YAY!
