hates me. I still can’t comment.
The second show we saw was the One Man Star Wars Trilogy. It way exceeded any expectations we had. It was an hour long and the best performance we saw. The actor performed all three (4-6) of the films completely alone…hence the “one man” in the title. He was accurate and funny and even interacted with the audience at times. We were impressed and it was by far one of the best hours we spent on our trip.
is the pits!
Let me first say that the TKTS booth in NY is probably the best way to get tickets for a tourist. Each day at 3pm the booth opens and you can purchase 1/2 price tickets for almost all of the on/off Broadway shows. We went and waited in line for about 40 minutes and paid about $45.00 bucks per ticket to see The Producers. We really enjoyed this one. It was a bit racy, but it is written by Mel Brooks. The lady translating for her 9 year old daughter next to me was superbly annoying, but didn’t detract from the humor of the show. The acting was good and the music was hilarious, noting the big finish song “Springtime For Hitler
We had a blast to say the least. I have put some of our photos on but am having trouble with my computer…so it is just a few of what I have. We tried to think of what our favorite part and decided it was just being gone for awhile doing something other than the ordinary. I will post more as I have time and rest. I really have to do some reviews of shows. This photo is of a very fun restaurant we went to last night in Little Italy. Well, ciao for now!
We are leaving on a jet plane. I’ve got my “airborne” and my Nano…I’m set. We are gonna have fun. Pray for my kids to be good. We’ll post pictures as we get them.
The Trivia question (although Jared says it is top secret) was “Tell me something you know about Rupert Jee?” Jared answered that he is the owner of Hello Deli.
Still can’t comment…helllllloooo computer nerds….can you fix this.
So, if you have posted and haven’t gotten a respose from me…that is why.
After reading that it is very unlikely to get tickets from online requests, we had pretty much given up. Then yesterday we got a call from the Letterman show saying that tickets had come available if we were still interested. Jared called back and had to answer a simple trivia question…and we’re in! I can’t wait! The trip is getting more real every day!
