I am so glad that Pacific View Mall will now be safer from terrorists. Whew. When I worked my stint there in the mall office, it was for sure the number one concern of mall patrons of the calls we received.
This is a good example of how we’re missing the point on the entire response to terrorism thing. I heard a report on the radio the other day talking about how a lot of the recommendations (post 9/11) have been either not implemented or implemented incorrectly, and instead we’ve done a whole bunch of other stuff that doesn’t really seem to make sense.

It is in an article about the thousands of dollars granted to the two nearby malls for bumped up security to keep us safe from terrorists. Duh!

And what will $50,000 do? Pay for 2 more Gold Coast guys to drive around nailing teenagers for making out in their cars? Whew! I feel safer already. ‘
I avoid the Mall at all costs. I like to think of my home as my own little bomb shelter. I’d like $50K for some upgrages please!
