I love my family

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

I have the best family. I’m sure you can all give your reasons why you think your is the best, but you’ll be wrong. (Unless of course you are one of the members.) I saw my sister who lives in Arkansas for about an hour. I always forget how much I love being around her. She’s funny and looks so much like me. We always end up with the same hairstyle everytime we get together, but never discuss it. We decided we are twins separated by 8 years.
The nest day the rest of my family got together for a couple of birthdays. We played games and hung out. We laughed and talked. We do it all the time, but it never gets old. The kids love being with the adults, and more kids are coming.

Thanks family for being so great. I love you guys and feel like we have a unique gift that many miss out on. Plus, we are always accepting new members. So if you want to join, just come to our next gathering. I’m sure it isn’t long away.

Funny for today…

To see my BFL progress, the new 6 weeks pictures are up. Please be warned, I am in a bathing suit. Cover your children’s eyes. Or just don’t go look. I’m very excited about the changes I see and feel.

You Are New York

Cosmopolitan and sophisticated, you enjoy the newest in food, art, and culture.
You also appreciate a good amount of grit - and very little shocks you.
You’re competitive, driven, and very likely to succeed.

This picture just showed up on Sara’s FLickr and I thought I’d post what a 35 year old looks like. I’m actually pretty stoked because I hadn’t really seen my thinner face since the biggest loser and the start of BFL. I’m actually quite happy with the lack of double chin I was growing. Not to mention the awesome hair that Alex did that day! Too bad he can’t come do it for me every day. Thanks for the Tennis Buddies Sara and Dan.

Christian caught the crud goin’ around and I have been home with him for two days. I forget how much I really love being here. Jared keeps telling me I like working, but I’m not so sure. It is fun but I would like to do it once a week, not everyday. Maybe someone should invent 24 hour school. 1 day, 24 hours, non stop learning. Then you’re done for the week. Does it ever seem like the school hours are set up just for people to have a place for their kids so they can go be workaholics? Just wondering. Homeschooling sure looks good right now.

The Reveal

Ok, so I am on my fourth week of Body For Life and feel that I can now share it with all of you my blog family. This is making my stomach have butterflies as I type. I am putting the link up where I am tracking my progress with others who are doing it, too. Spare me the editorials about the program, etc. I hope to be sporting at least a well toned bod at the end and reached some goals. I knew when we finished the Biggest Loser I would need something new to shoot for or I would head on back to my old ways. So this is the direction I chose. I would love to be a finalist in this and maybe you all will shoot me some encouragement along the way. Also, no comments on the disgusting before pictures. Anyway, here goes… Body Tracker
