It is an amzing day…so beautiful outside! I am awed at what a great place we live in. But, I’m partial to sunny warm days. Get out there…thake a wallk,a bike ride, chase your kids around the yard. Do SOMETHING! Don’t let another fabulous day pass you by!

Acts 2:44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.
In a discussion today there were comments about the possibilty of a community where people really share and live in true giving with each other. I have some thoughts I didn’t get to share. We have had a similar converstaion, I believe, but let’s talk again.
I am of the mind that in American culture we are independent minded, more than self centered. We can’t wait for our children to reach milestones then to get old enough to move out and be “on their own”. If they have to move back in later, they are losers. Then when our family members get old we ship them off to nursing homes, for someone else to handle. It seems to me, herein is the problem we have with communal living. We don’t spend time sharing and growing with those who are our own flesh and blood, how can we extend in an even greater way to those who are not? I want to. Not sure if I live this, probably more no than yes. Any thoughts?
Please note, I use “we” in a very general sense and haven’t really hashed this out. Just some thoughts.
I can handle my own heartaches, but when it’s your kid…wow, is that a different story. Christian asked a friend to sleepover and was waiting for him to call back because he had to wait for his mom. Christian finally called 5 hours later and he had gone to sleep at another friends house and never called. Man, my instinct is to call his mom but Christian doesn’t want me to. Second instinct, write the kid off forever. Good loving attitude, eh? Mama bear is at the ready. What to do?
I saw The Lake House last night. I’m not one to follow reviews, but trust me on this. Dumb, dumb, dumb! It just didn’t make sense. I give it a

I just fixed the time on this blog server, so some of the comments from tonight (on the posts below) are out of order, until I go back and adjust them. Sorry.

I’ve gone to green and blue. The yellow was bogging me down. Thanks Jared for making it for me! You are the best.
We’ve switched to Netflix…but it’s not what you think. I liked that I can get more movies at a time, and you can have more than one queue. That way we each get one and one fore the kids so we are constantly rotating movies everyone likes. So, are you all happy now?
I’m going to the beach on Thursday, so bring your lunch and come hang out. I will be at Carpinteria beach at 11 am if anyone is interested in meeting up there. Usually we park all the way down by the bathrooms and set up around there. If you want to and need more info, call me or email me.
