Cereal Conspiracy

Ok…I do have more important things going on than this, but it is frustrating me. My kids have a few cereals that they like that aren’t completely sugar filled, but are still yummy. They are Frosted mini Chex, Frosted Cheerios, and Honey Graham Life. I have been buying these for a good long while now. Suddenly, they are nowhere to be found. I noticed about 6 months ago they kept clearing the shelves, putting them on sale. Now… gone. No more. What the heck? I have tried to find similar options. My kids don’t care for nuts. I’m not buying Froot Loops or Trix anymore. Come on cereal makers. What gives?

OK this is really Kristen commenting. I couldn’t find frosted O’s either but I ended up with multigrain O’s and they are good. They are not quiet as sweet as frosted or honey nut but they aren’t as boring as plain.

I live off of the multigrain cheerios. they are sweetend and taste good even without milk, plus they have 100% daily requirements for 12 vitamins and minerals…YUM

It’s all crap. Sam’s always lamenting the fact that he’s never in his whole life eaten (insert cereal name here). It was a big day when I gave in and allowed special K in the house. I’m an organic, high-fiber, sweetened with barley malt kinda gal, but we’re all fat so go figure.

Sometimes Big Lots has cereal that the regular super markets don’t have. I get Randy’s Special K Soy Protein flavor only at Big lots- they don’t have it anywhere that I can find. So check there, Martha. You might be surprised! And pick up some $1.50 Big Lots wine while you’re at it.

i’ve found that any cereal is good if you cover it in brown sugar or chocolate syrup. or try sprinkling some sweet tarts, nerds or chocolate chips in. just a few ideas.
