Fall Break Fun
Fall Break Fun
Yesterday we combed Ventura, doing nothing, trying to kill time while the house was cleaned. Then I painted the window seat in my bedroom. Woo hoo.
Today, I got to go have more gum surgery to prepare for my brace face. So by Christmas I should have braces. Having your gums poked, scraped and cut is not exactly pleasant, but Dr. Allen is really good and it is worth it. I’ve wanted braces ever since the vampire fangs came in.
I tried to hang my shades in my window but they just ended up pissing me off because I can’t get them to clip on. Stupid home improvement. I think I’d like to go back to renting.
Wow, whatever will I think of for tomorrow? Maybe I can get my armpits waxed or something excruciating like that.

What kind of surgery are you having? We use to do a lot of that kind of stuff for the orthodotists in town.

I had a “gingival graft”. My gums are too receded on a couple of teeth for the braces. So they harvest some tissue from the roof of my mouth and build up the tissue on the teeth that are lacking. This is the second one I’ve had. This one is more sore. I’m guessing it was from the necessity for lots of numbing. They poked and poked and then I could still feel it, so they poked some more.

Yeah, the procedure doesn’t look to pleasant. Our patients usually had the most discomfort from the roof of the mouth. It was one of my favorites to assist in though, its neat how it works.

It’s mostly annoying, not painful. I’m all paranoid about the stitches though.

Wow. You must want braces pretty badly to endure that. Ouch!

I like your teeth and have never thought of them as fangy at all. But I understand wanting to perfect the so-called “imperfections”. You’ll look cute in braces anyway. I have always loved it when grown ups wear braces. BTW, if you ever want that armpit wax you know who to call!! xoxo

I know, I know!!! You can go to PT for me today. That would be a little bit more fun than struggling with window shades, but not quite as fun as arm pit waxing.

Yes, I want braces badly, I guess I like pain. I keep waxing, going tothe gym WAY too early, getting tattoos, and had three babies… oh and I go to teach middle school everyday. What a glutton for punishment.

Jac- I’d go for you but I’m not sure how to transfer the effects of it to your arm, since mine is ok.
