Project Emma
Project Emma
So we went costume hunting today. It was frustrating because of inappropriate costumes and prices are just crazy. I was trying to talk Emma into making a costume to no avail. So we took a walk while waiting for our tire to get fixed, to Joann Fabrics. She immediately saw the shiny fabrics and realized this could be a good idea. We picked a decent pattern and some fuzzy, pink leopard material and headed back home. She disappeared for about 30 minutes. When she came down from her room, she handed me this paper. I was completely impressed with the details. I’ve always known she is deeply creative, but to lay out her costume like this…next stop Project Runway. ( Don’t mention it to her. She is very sensitive about me sharing things about her.)

I love it! You’ll have to tape PR for her tonight to further inspire her…

We’ll be watching. I got sucked in when they did those marathons over the last couple of weeks.

Me too! I’m also impressed, but all your kids are braniacs so it’s not surprising.

When I met Emma almost 4 years ago, I started saying “that girl will be a designer when she grows up”. I loved (and still love) the outfits and styles she comes up with. Creativity that’s all her own.

I loved the “x-cessories”. Not only the part where she star’d them to point out that you didn’t have to “make” the item but I’m assuiming with her being a spelling guru she was marketing her style as well. lol, tipbox.

Beautiful! That makes me smile. Ever since she could draw and actual circle and have the two ends of the line meet up correctly to close the circle at age 2, or somewhere near that, I knew that she would be artistic in some way. Project Runway!? Don’t sell her short!
