Actually, 2 tickets. I’m truly in awe. A student gave me two airline tickets anywhere Southwest flies. What? I’ve never gotten a gift like that. Crazy. Now where to go?

I realized today that I have been so busy trying to depart from what Christmas is NOT supposed to be, that I was failing to grab ahold of  what it is supposed to be. I love birthdays. I love celebrating the amazing miracle that God saw fit to create each one of us and we all get to share in that miracle.

So, Christmas is a birthday party, right? And, I also love birthday parties. So, what better birthday party to celebrate than the one an only Savior of the World? I’m now ready to begin the decorating and preparing for the big day. My only problem now is finding the time and when I do, having the energy left to do it. We are getting a tree this weekend…maybe if I go to bed early the rest of the week, I’ll be ready.

Anyway, I hope you have a blast celebrating. I plan to.
